Recruitment for the roles, which will add to the 300 staff already employed by Hiab in Louth, will start immediately.
The majority of the positions are for general operators with mechanical skills, as well as support roles in manufacturing engineering, R&D engineering and warehousing.
In addition, the company is investing €50m building new facilities in county Louth. When operational in 2023, the new factory will replace Hiab’s existing Dundalk facilities.
